Wellington Point State School Disco

DJ Sam was ready and raring to go at the sport themed Wellington Point State School Disco. All the kids got dressed up in their awesome sporting outfits. There were footballers, basketballers, gymnists, netballers, golfers, tennis stars, dances and so much more. DJ Sam was very impressed with the amount of effort these kids went to.

The Junior disco was a massive hit with some old school hits such as Footloose, Walking on Sunshine, and of course some modern Disney hits from Moana. We even jumped on our surfboards and hit the beach with some WIPE OUT music. It wouldn’t be a DJ SAM disco without a singing competition to ROAR from Katy Perry, DJ SAM loves it when the kids sing as loud as they can into the microphone.

Throughout the night we had a limbo competition, dance off, grade vs grade dance off, dance circle and of course the YMCA.

The fashion parade was the best part of the night with all the grades parading around the dance floor and strutting their stuff to try and take out the prize for best dressed. The winners looked fantastic and the judges had a tough time deciding. There was an awesome guess the lolly jar- Guess the amount of Lollies competition. The person to guess how many lollies were in the jar won and the kids loved entering.

In between eating hot dogs, drinking soda and stuffing their faces with lollies the kids had a fantastic time dancing and singing all night long. What a great way to finish another busy week at school.
