Family Fun Day!
The staff at the Brisbane Racing Club contacted us back in early December for their January Family Fun Day Race day out at the Ascot. They were looking for roughly 1 or 2 hours of fun & music, and loved the fact that we provided music that was safe for little ears!
The Family Fun Day / Race Day was on the 21st of January and were looking to provide a ‘disco’ for the kids to close out the day.
Kids could come along and join them for a Family Fun Raceday out at Eagle Farm racecourse sponsored by Ascot Childcare and Kindy with plenty of action on the track plus lots of free fun for the whole family to enjoy including:
- Petting Zoo
- Jumping Castle
- Golf Central
- Clown Magic Show
- Kids Disco
- Face Painting
- Fashions on the Field
So I was REALLY excited to come out and party with the kids up on the stage, and have some fun!
I left home and got there about 12:00pm to start setting up on the stage and getting ready. NOVA 106.9 was there doing a few announcements throughout the day, and getting everyone ready for their Fashion on the Fields as part of the Family Fun Day style – getting parents, mums, dads, kids, up and the judges voting on the best dressed fashion pieces.
The horses were out and about too – getting ready for their races, and the kids got to see the petting zoo as well, so there was alot going on!
After the Fashions on the Field, it was time to get involved with the kids and gather them all around. We had some fun dance competitions and dance moves, we did a bit of Musical Statue’s with the kids, and then a few action games, we even got Mum & Dad into the dance moves as well! The kids had an absolute ball of a time, with their friends and running around.
We partied for as long as we could but the only problem was the weather – showers were foretasted which was a bit of a bummer – as it quickly came to an end about an hour later with rain storming down and everyone ducking for cover under shelter.
Still, I hope to return again for the next Family Fun Day and have some fun with the kids again!
